The Purpose of The North Florida Bluegrass Association:
To promote and preserve Bluegrass music.
To serve as an authority and community resource on the subject of Bluegrass music.
What We Do
We promote Bluegrass music through jams, instructional workshops, concerts, community festivals, education, our EXPO (SEPTEMBER of each year) and our monthly newsletter, The Midnight Flier. We play traditional bluegrass instruments. Many of us pick and grin while others just listen and grin. We were unplugged before unplugged was cool. Some of our individual members and affiliated bands go into the public schools to present our music to youngsters. Others perform our music at Health Facilities, Public Functions and Fundraisers. The association meets the 3rd weekend (3rd Saturday) of every month (except Dec.) at different locations each month. We invite you to join us!
We are a non-profit organization (501-C3) dedicated to preserving, promoting, playing, and enjoying Bluegrass music. Funding comes from the annual EXPO, membership dues, special fund raising events and sales of club merchandise. All work is done strictly on a volunteer basis. We welcome any volunteering services you can offer. You’ll be glad you did. It’s a lot of fun. So step up and help out the Association when you can.
Please show your support for the Association by stopping by the NFBA tent or trailer and pick up some club merchandise. We are usually at most pick-ins and festivals in the area. We have for sale such things as shirts, caps, jackets, coffee mugs and many other items. You may also renew your membership or help sign up a friend as you shop.
